Islamabad (Agencies): Prime Minister Imran Khan will lay the foundation stone of Baba Guru Nanak University in Nankana Sahib on October 28 (Monday).
“This university would be the first of its kind where there will be special focus on the subjects of Punjabi language and Khalsa,” Interior Minister Ijaz Shah said. The university would be an example of interfaith harmony and cultural and professional development, the minister added.
“It will also serve as a community centre for Sikhs around the world.”
Shah praised the prime minister’s efforts for the protection and uplift of religious minorities in the country. He said besides the university, other projects would also be launched in Nankana Sahib.
