Pakistani staff safe as blast outside consulate in Jalalabad wounds 3: FO

Islamabad (Staff Report): Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal said that all Pakistani staff were safe after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast outside Pakistan’s Consulate General in Jalalabad on Sunday.


“IED exploded outside holding area of our Consulate General in Jalalabad. All Pakistani staff are safe,” Dr Faisal confirmed in a tweet.

“One policeman and two applicants are reportedly wounded,” he said and added, “We are in contact with Afghan authorities to ensure strengthened security for Consulate General’s premises and personnel.”
