Islamabad (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday launched the ‘Zindagi’ app against to prevent drug penetration in the society.
Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, the prime minister said that all out efforts will be made to eradicate the scourge of drugs from the society.
PM Imran regretted that the use of drugs starts at school level and the addicted persons are involved in other crimes too.
“It is not only the job of (ANF), police and other law enforcing agencies but the efforts of the whole nation are required to defeat the menace of drugs,” the PM said.
Referring to another problem facing the society, the premier said that incidents of child abuse are also increasing in the society for which awareness has to be created to eradicate this menace.
On the occasion, a book regarding drugs prevention was launched.
Appreciating the launching of the book, Prime Minister Imran Khan said it needs to be introduced at all schools for increasing knowledge and awareness.
Imran Khan also highlighted the need to sensitize schools, mosques and other areas of public sphere on the issues of drugs and child abuse.
According to the government, Zindagi app is an important development in countering the narcotics and it will provide necessary information for stopping the flow of drugs.
